Judy Lee Shively Hill Stone
Judy Lee Stone, 73, of Virginia, passed away on September 14, 2025. She was born on December 10, 1951, in Wise County, Virginia to the late Junior Lee Shively and Betty Minton Shively Hodges. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Hill; siblings, Marie Carol Hodges and Steven Lynn Hodges; and nephews, Freddie Wayne Shively Jr. and Garon Ray Bowels.
Judy is survived by her son, Jamie Hill Jr. and his wife Kristie; grandchildren, Kayla Nichols and husband Mike, and Jeffrey Hill; and great-grandson, Braden Hill. Also surviving are her sisters, Faye Shively Curren, Trish Shively Tincher and husband Gary, and Betty Saunders; brothers, Freddie Shively Sr., Raymond Shively and wife Lynn, James Shively, and Kenneth Shively and wife Tommie. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who she loved dearly. Special survivors include her best friend, Sue Morris, and Anthony Burnette, who was like a son to her.
Judy was a wonderful woman who never met a stranger. She enjoyed watching movies, CSI, and Criminal Minds. She loved talking about the Bible and listening to Jimmy Swaggart. She was always ready for a game of rummy, and she cherished time spent with her family. Judy was a peacemaker at heart, and she had a deep and special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
