Judy Watson Carter

Judy Watson Carter, 80, of Roanoke, VA, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was born on Thursday, February 12, 1942, to the late Joseph and Bonnie Faulk Watson. Judy graduated from Victoria College in 1962, attaining her Associate’s degree. She later met and married her late husband, Ronald W. Carter. Judy worked for the Roanoke County Juvenile District Court and retired after thirty-seven years of service. She was a member of the Star City Church of Christ.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Suzan Hutchinson, and husband, Scott of St. Simons Island, GA; son, Michael Carter, and wife, Ruth of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Channing, Kayla, and Elisha Carter; and Carter Hutchinson.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, with her son, Michael Carter officiating. Inurnment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.
Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the funeral home.
