Julia Naff Jennings

March 23, 1924 - October 30, 2022

Julia Naff Jennings, 98, of Salem went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2022.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of the late, Donald Taylor Jennings and the last of eight children to Daniel Thomas Naff and Nora Montgomery Naff, both deceased. She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church for many years. Julia served the church as a deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, various committee chairs, WMU, and she represented the church at local meetings for the Virginia Baptist Association. She enjoyed bus trips, sewing and crafts. Julia was active serving the Rescue Mission and the RAM house.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two children, Donna P. “Patty” King and Winfred T. “Tommy” Anderson; seven siblings; and her granddaughter, Angela Kay Anderson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter in law, Judy P. Anderson; three sons, Donald Malcolm Jennings (Brenda), Richard Nelson Jennings (Valerie), and Gregory Stuart Jennings (Angie); daughter, Glenna Beth Jennings; four grandsons, Donald Wayne Jennings, John Thomas Cook (Olivia), Jason Jennings (Lindsey), and Anthony Jennings; seven granddaughters, Danielle Hale (Chris), Jennifer Bennett (Dean Hodges), Tracy A. Wray (Doug), Amy Williams (Steve), Kelly Jennings, Stephanie Jennings (Brian), and Michelle Marshall (Tonk); 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
