June Boothe Burgess

June Boothe Burgess, age 92, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. She was born in Botetourt County on October 14, 1932, to Clay Pinkard Boothe and Mary Edna Young Boothe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Burgess, as well as her brothers; Junior, Lee, George, Sidney and Andy Boothe, sisters; Edna Harth, Rosetta Harth, Susie Pruett, Edith Thompson, Darlene St. Clair and Joyce Niday.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Stone and her husband Kenny, granddaughter, Summer Stone, sisters; Shirley Pruett, of Troutville, VA. and Pat Bonvissuto, Indiana; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

June retired from Dupont with 40 years of service. She loved the beach and working in her flowers. Most of all she loved God and her family.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home on 109 Broad Street, Martinsville, VA 24112. A funeral service will follow and will be officiated by Reverend Dr. J.D. Harmon. Interment will follow the service and be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
