Justin Robert Procter

Justin Robert Procter, age 21 of Rocky Mount died by an accidental death on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Justin was employed by Genesis Rail Services. He was excelling in his position and building a future with Genesis. He built a work family that he will be missed by.

Justin is survived by his loving partner, Jada Nelson; and their son, Joseph Chase Procter of Rocky Mount, Virginia; mother, Cansas Shepperd (Melinda Amos) of Bedford Virginia; father, Bobby Procter of Rocky Mount, Virginia; brothers, Cody Procter (Hailee Weidensall) of Rocky Mount Virginia, Kendrick South of Vinton, Virginia; niece, Taylon Johnson of Rocky Mount, Virginia; grandparents, Bob Procter (Mary) of Sarasota, Florida, Chester and Diane Shepperd of Roanoke, Virginia.

Justin was loved by many friends, Chuckie Thomas and Austin Law along with many other basketball friends and friends that enjoyed riding four wheelers’ friends admiring his shoe collection and those admiring his gun collection. There are too many friends to mention he had a lot that loved him. We know as a family that he is rejoicing and celebrating being back together with his special dear friend JP Prillaman in heaven.

Justin was affectionately known by many nicknames Jproc, Just, pretty boy. However Little Buddy was reserved for his PE – PIE! The best nickname that Justin carried was the name he was proudest to be called was by his son DADA.

Justin was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Robert “Doc” and Betsy Procter; grandparents, Carol and Jim Jackson; and cousin, Noah; and cousin, Amy.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Faith Fellowship (100 Wirtz Rd., Wirtz, VA) with services to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, Virginia. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
