Katelyn Ayn Brown Rhodes

Katelyn Ayn Brown Rhodes, 40, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was born on June 13, 1986, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Charles Marshall Brown and Karmon Karlette Oliver Martin.

Katelyn found her greatest joy in being a mother and creating a loving home for her children. She had a deep appreciation for music, which brought happiness and comfort throughout her life.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Talyn Rhoday; her son, Jaden Rhodes; one sister, Phoebe Brown; three brothers, Joshua Dix, Matthew Brown, and Karlin Dix; and a host of other family members, and friends.

Although services are private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers, and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
