Kathy Diane Morton

Mrs. Kathy Diane Vanhoy Morton, age 66, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1957 in Forsyth County to the late Annie Louise Desern Hill. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Tabbitha Wood (Bryson); stepson, Larry Morton; grandchildren, Lexy Mickey, Lana Brown (Dillon), Alisha Hawkins (William), Cheyenne McGee (Justin), Brandon Norman, and Salinda Bonds; eight great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Shelby Dalton (Dean); special friends, Patsy, Joyce, and Vickie. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hurley Morton; daughter, Rachel Kathy Morton; grandson, Tyler Hurley Hiatt; brother, J.R. Vanhoy. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Tony White. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time for the service at the funeral home.
