Kayla Anne Hill

Kayla Anne Nelson Hill, 35, of Martinsville passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at Sovah Health in Martinsville. She was born March 14, 1988, in Patrick County to Tony Nelson and Betty Sowers Plunkett. Kayla loved jewelry, the Discovery Channel, science, the beach and she was a “Cat Mom”. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, David Hill; sister, Miranda Kate Nelson (Scott Loftis); nephew, Grayson Loftis; grandparents, Benjamin and Beatrice Merriman; aunts, Sandy Sowers, Janice Hodges, Rena Cromer (Paul) and Rue Powers; uncles, William Sowers (Yolanda); a host of family and friends; and cats, Garfield, Maximus, Lucy, and Kirby. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Wright Funeral Service at 6:00 P.M., with Rev. Richard Arrington officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will be private.
