Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Grubbs

Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Grubbs, Sr., 73, wonderful husband, great father and grandfather,

passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at his residence in Evington.

Born March 6, 1952 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late William Monroe Grubs and

Christine Hughes Grubbs. Kenny worked at Archer Creek Foundry for many years and

always provided for his family. He was of Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Bill

Grubbs and a sister, Ann Zatrepalek; his very special mother-in-law, Virginia Taylor and

great friend and brother-in-law, Rocky Robertson.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Cora “Sweetie” Robertson Grubbs;

his son, Keneth Wayne Grubbs, Jr.; his daughter, Kelly Grubbs and his grandson and best friend,

Jerame.Grubbs . He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, who were more like brothers and sisters, Ricky Robertson and wife Julia, Rusty Robertson and wife Janice, Charles “Peanut” Robertson, Georgia Foresman and husband John, Teresa Wooldridge, and Vicky Johnson and husband P.K. and many nieces and nephews.

Kenny also loved his canine companions, Charlie, Petey, Gizmo, and Sadie .

A memorial service for Kenny will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025 at

the home of his sister-in-law, Teresa, 330 Sherbrooke Drive, Lynchburg, VA, 24502 with

Pastor Dwight Weaver officiating.
