Kimico Lynn Burton Norman

Ms. Kimico Lynn Norman, age 62, passed away Friday afternoon, December 27, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, with her loving family by her side. Ms. Norman was born in Bland County, Virginia, on July 8, 1962, to the late James Marvin Burton and Jean Beckner McClung. She was a loving wife, mother and a very proud nanny. She will be deeply missed by the many that loved her. Ms. Norman is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Tate and Angie, Brian Tate, Jesse Tate; grandchildren, Dalton Tate, Kaleb Tate, Kadence Tate, Jaden Tate, Cameron Tate, Landon Tate; one great grandchild on the way; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Burton and Linda; half-sisters, Teika McClung, Jenny McClung. A celebration of Ms. Normans’ life will be held on January 1, 2025, at 2 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, with the Rev. David Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Norman family.
