Kippley Shae Looney
Kippley (Kip) Shae Looney, 66, of Roanoke VA went home to be with the Lord July 7, 2026. Kip was preceded in death by his dad, Bob Looney of Abington, VA and his mom, Lantha Looney of Roanoke VA. He is survived and missed by his brother Rob (Dee) Looney, his son, Shae (Maggie) Farmer and 2 grandsons, Cameron and Tristan Farmer. Also his niece Arin (Jeremy) Szuch and great nephew Jalen, nephew, Adam (Melissa) Looney and great nieces, Claire and June and great nephew Jacob.
Kip was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School and RCEC where he took carpentry. He then worked in the automotive field for many years becoming a proficient mechanic and later graduating to service advisor for George Moore Pontiac and Ferrell Ford in Salem, VA. He also loved repair work as well where he excelled in the repair of washing machines and driers for many years. His first great love was always cars but he also had a great love for his dogs and cats. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and attending many sporting events.
Kips family would like to express sincere appreciation to Berkshire Rehab center in Vinton where he was treated like family for the past year. We are especially thankful for the NPs, the nurses, the aids, and the staff of unit 1. In addition we would like to thank Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their great care during his many visits the last 18 months for cancer surgery and multiple stays in ICU and PCU units.
We are grateful to Lotz Funeral Home and Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery where a small closed casket graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 10.
