Kyle "Robby" Robert Carter

Kyle “Robby” Robert Carter, 64, of Stanleytown, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Sovah Health-Martinsville. He was born on November 22, 1959, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Kyle Junior Carter and Dorothy Jean Parks Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Carter.

Kyle attended Day Star Ministries. He enjoyed football; he was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia Mountaineers. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working with his hands; he was a jack of all trades. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that he met. You could always count on him to bring a smile to your face with a blunt and sarcastic comment.

Kyle is survived by his two daughters, Nikki McBride (Dennis) and Stephanie Keffer (Travis); three grandchildren, Kaci Wagner, Derek McBride, and Morgan McBride; two sisters, Libby Green (Carl) and Faye Edwards (Franky); one brother, Rocky Carter (Debra); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Sammy Caldwell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will take place immediately after the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
