Larry Wayne Brown

Larry Wayne Brown, 82, of Arrington and formerly of Waynesboro, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Born in Staunton on December 22, 1942, Larry was the son of the late Russel Elmer Brown and Carrie Thompson Brown. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career as an operator for Dupont in Waynesboro.

Larry was a dedicated member of Amvets, Harrisonburg Post 7, and a former member of the American Legion Honor Guard. He also held a lifelong membership in the Sears Ridge Hunt Club in Gladstone, where he enjoyed many cherished moments with friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Myers Brown; his son, Michael Brown (Carla); his daughter, Melissa Mathias (Billy); two grandchildren, Tyler Brown (Haley) and Tiffany Moxley (Thomas); five great-grandchildren; and his two brothers, Gary L. Brown (Dorothy) and Steve Brown (Linda).

At Larry's request, no formal services are scheduled. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
