Laura Lee Wright Mullins
LAURA LEE (“LOLLY”) WRIGHT MULLINS, 67, of Bland, VA, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born October 10, 1958 in Radford, VA, the daughter of the late Homer & Nancy Wright.
Though short in stature, Laura was a presence. She was vocal and in charge and loved to dictate how things were to go.
She attended Shiloh United Methodist Church and was an active part of the Wright Automotive morning prayer group.
Laura was an LPN and retired from Bland Correctional Center after many years of service, a career she enjoyed immensely.
She loved all flowers and gardening and enjoyed coloring in her coloring books. She kept daily journals for everything and would tell her family it was just “a little of this and a little of that.” She thought the house should stay clean and made sure to teach her family this value.
Laura loved to cook and was most known for her chicken dumplings. She loved her family and will be missed greatly by those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer (“Ding”) Lee & Nancy Sharon Francis Wright, her husband, Warren Mullins, a son, Warren Phillip Mullins and a daughter, Sharon Lynn Mullins.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rachel Faye Mullins Davis; her brother & sister-in-law, Kim & Cindy Wright; her beloved grandchildren, Charles & Katie Mullins, Bradley Harless, Hallie Davis, Gunner Davis and Andrew Harless; her great-grandchildren, Zayne and Paisley; her brother-in-law, Lonzo Mullins; her sisters-in-law, Gertrude Osborn and Hazel Scott; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
