Lawrence "Larry" F. Polar

Lawrence “Larry” Frank Polar went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2026 at the age of 91. He was born on June 20, 1935 in Langlade County, Wisconsin to the late Archie and Ruby Polar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Polar (Betty), Edward Polar (Arlene), Robert Polar (Carol), and Douglas Polar (Dee) and two sisters, Beth Haring (John), and Laurel Aita (Jim), all of whom are of Wisconsin.

Surviving family include his wife of 61 years, Carol Ann Goins Polar, along with two sons, Richard Polar (Katie) of Largo, Florida and Jonathan Polar (Emily) of Roanoke, Virginia; five grandchildren, David Polar (Emily), Joshua Polar, Melody Polar, Micaiah Polar, and Gloria Polar; one sister, Agnes Lemmens of Algoma, Wisconsin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Larry worked for General Electric for 29 years, retiring in 1996. He was a faithful member at Emmaus Bible Fellowship.

The family will receive guests at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dale Mullinix officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
