Lena Elizabeth Turman
Lena Elizabeth Turman, 5 years-old of Ferrum, Virginia, went to be with Jesus suddenly Tuesday morning, March 12, 2024. Lena Elizabeth was the sweetest girl. She was so happy to greet family and friends with big hugs and snuggles all day. She had the kindest nature and when she was a toddler would say, “You happy, Mama? You happy, Grammy?” She had empathy beyond her age, and always showed great concern for her loved ones and pets. Lena loved playing with her beloved “doggies,” Kenzie, Kayla, and Jazzy. She took such good care of her baby dolls and “stuffies,” and loved getting in her “cozy bed.” She loved books and wanted so badly to know how to read like her big brother. Lena loved going on adventures with her Daddy and riding in his “big truck.” We will miss seeing her sweet smile every morning and having cozy snuggles every night. She was crafty and creative and enjoyed making artwork for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing outside with her brother and her special friends, Annastyn and Delaney. Lena loved helping plant and pick flowers. She enjoyed visits to the family farm. She was so kind and gentle to animals and even insects. She loved ladybugs. Lena loves playing with her big brother more than anything. They enjoy building forts and riding bikes together. She was a big fan of Minnie Mouse, Bluey, and Gabby’s Dollhouse. She loved unicorns, kittens, puppies, and everything sweet and beautiful in this world. Her voice and giggles were so sweet, and she used the cutest words to describe every little thing when she spoke. Lena was the sunshine in our lives. She will be in our hearts and minds all day, every day, especially when we see the beautiful details in nature and the world all around us. Lena is survived by her parents, Richie and Lindsey Turman; her big brother, Colin of Ferrum; her grandparents, Sandra Turman and the late Thomas Lomax of Rocky Mount, Steve and Betsy Cardwell of Rocky Mount, Richie Turman, Sr. and Donna Scarbro of Vinton; her aunts and uncles, Tracie and Tracy Cooper of Wirtz, Scott Cardwell, Dara Williams, and Jared Jordan of Brookfield, Connecticut; her cousins, Spencer Cooper, Evelyn Cardwell, Ruby Cardwell, and Jordan Williams; and many other special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
