Lena Mae Jones Beck

Mrs. Lena Mae Jones Beck, 92, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 23, 2024, at Northern Regional Hospital of Surry County skilled unit.   Mrs. Beck was born July 15, 1931, in Patrick County to the late William and Eva Pack Jones.  She was a shining light to the many that were blessed to have known her.   She was a founding member of Country Baptist Church and had retired from Renfro Hosiery Mills after 50 plus years of service.  Mrs. Beck loved the lord, her family, flower gardening, crocheting, and watching the birds at one of her many bird feeders.  Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Pam Beck; one brother, Arthur Jones; one sister, Bonnie Sapp; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Stephanie Boyles; sister-in-law, Lou Biggs and husband Grandy.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Beck; three brothers, Hassell Jones, Aldie Jones, and Billy Jones; two sisters, Brenda Hensley, Kaye Davis.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 2 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Rusty Reed officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Country Baptist Church.  The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Northern Regional Hospital skilled care unit.
