Lenora Tuten Stubbs

July 17, 1939 - January 16, 2024

It is with our greatest sadness that we announce the passing of Our Beautiful Mother and Grandmother.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024 Lenora Tuten Stubbs, 84, of Ferrum, Virginia gained her wings and rejoined her Husband and Heavenly Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John David and Alvilda Mamie Tuten; her beloved husband, George Taylor Stubbs Sr.; her son, Raymond Lewis Day, Jr.; her granddaughter, Alicia Renee Loudermilk; and her great-grandson, Dale Keith Inman, Jr.

She was a faithful servant of The Lord and longtime member of The Endicott Assembly of God, where she Loved to spend time worshipping with her church family. She was a former member of both The Franklin County Red Hat Society and The Ferrum Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Lenora was a beloved Mother, Grandma, and Friend to all who had the privilege to know her. With a natural green thumb, she was a Lover of all things nature. Her family remembers her gorgeous gardens and lovely flowerbeds that attracted the red birds and butterflies she loved, where she stacked the mountains of rocks she collected. She was an avid collector of many things and enjoyed a good afternoon of thrifting and antiquing with her girls. Lenora Loved her family and especially adored her many Grandchildren. She was a giving woman doing God's work through Granny’s Hands. She will be deeply missed and forever cherish by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Diana Magana (David), John David Day (Karen), Connie Day, Warren Mack Day (Heather). The true blessings of her life; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Lenora is also survived by her brother and sister in Christ, Ronnie and Betty Thompson; and her loyal companion dog, Jingles.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Endicott Assembly of God Church. Interment will be private in The Thompson Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
