Lewis "Joe" Joesph Hallford

Lewis Joesph Hallford (Joe), 86, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2026. He was a loving husband to Kathleen for 64 years. Joe was a Detective Lieutenant for Panama City Police Department in Florida. He retired and moved to Mount Airy, NC in 2000 to help work for the Easter Gospel Group. He is survived by his wife, daughter, Rebecca Davis, son, Lewis, grandchildren, Rachel, Julia, and Skyler. Great grandchildren, Hazel, August, and Autumn. He loved his family. He enjoyed the ministry of gospel music, but most of all, Joe loved the Lord. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 2:00pm at Rescue Baptist Church in Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
