Lilly Hill Edwards Williamson

Lily Hill E. Williamson, 91, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully, with her loving

family beside her, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She was preceded in death by her

husband, Billy Ray Williamson; siblings Charlotte (Zach) Phillips and Waring

(Evelyn) Edwards; her sister-in-law Dorothy W. Howard; and brother-in-law Fred P.

Williamson. Left to cherish her memory are her children; J.L. Williamson, and D.

Ray Williamson; grandchildren; Megan and Forrest Kessler, Scott Williamson,

Sarah and Kevin Kerwin, Caroline Williamson; honorary grandchildren; Matt

Marshall and Brian Kelley, great grandchildren, who lovingly called her

“Meemaw,” David Kessler and Haidyn Kessler, and many nieces and nephews. Lily

Hill was a very special woman. She always had a smile and a hello for everyone.

She was part of the Waskey’s Mill Community for many years. She will be missed

by many. “She will never be gone, but forever in our hearts.” Visitation will be on

Saturday, May 18 th , 2024, from 5 to 8pm in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt

Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va. Funeral services will take

place at Wheatland Lutheran Church, 1560 Wheatland Rd, Buchanan, Va. at 2:00

pm, Sunday, May 19, 2024 with Pastor Chuck Miller officiating. Interment will be
