Linda Foster

Linda Foster passed away on July 29, 2026.

Linda dedicated her career to caring for others as a Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) nurse at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem. Following her retirement, she remained active in her community as a devoted member of the Newcomers Club of the Roanoke Valley, where she enjoyed building lasting friendships and participating in club activities.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Elmore, and her mother, Pauline Elmore.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Mark Foster of Salem, Virginia; her sister, Karen Tripp and husband, Mike, of Roanoke, Virginia; her sister-in-law, Denise Maiolo and husband, Robert, of Oak Hill, West Virginia; her nephew, Craig Tripp and wife, Jackie, of Schenectady, New York; her niece, Kelsey Swieterman and husband, Tom, of Lexington, Kentucky; her nephew, Gabriel Maiolo and wife, Ericka, of Ansted, West Virginia; and her niece, Elisabeth Meadows and husband, Ricky, of Morgantown, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda's honor to Habitat for Humanity.
