Linda Goff Rutherford

Linda was born on August 28, 1946, to the late Howard and Lizabel Goff in Floyd, VA. She passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023, at Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski VA. After a variation of employment, Linda received a Master's in social work from Radford University. She was enjoying retirement only to be derailed by health complications. We owe a huge thank you to Pulaski Health & Rehabilitation Center for their care and dedication to Linda over the past six months. In addition to her parents, Howard and Lizabel Goff, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Alice Goff and the love of her life Michael Rutherford. Left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Melissa Sowers & Ricky and Vicky Sowers. Grandchildren: Brian and Hope Bradbury, Ricky Sowers, Tori Lynn Sowers, Amarynn Sowers, Ashley, and Trey Rose, and Glen Lovell. Great-Grandchildren: Grayson Bradbury, Jackson Bradbury, Libby Rose Bradbury, Brantley Elliott, Mari Rose, Addison Rose, and Sydni Lovell. A very special cousin, Frances Simpson who was more like a sister. Thank you, Frances, for persevering through the good and the bad, we adore you! Carilion Hospice and the ICU staff at Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski – your compassion and kindness were a godsend. Thank you. Mom, MawMaw, Linda you are pain-free now, rest in peace, you will never be forgotten. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
