Linda Hawkins Styne

Linda Hawkins Styne, 84 of Lynch Station, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born January 31, 1942 in Newport News, a daughter of the late Junious William Hawkins and Mable Eula Overstreet Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl F. Styne and her brothers, Travis W. Hawkins and Eugene C. Hawkins.

Linda loved to cook, feed the birds & watch deer while enjoying nature and her grandchildren were very important to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana S. Alvis; her son, Robert T. Howell, II (Sarita); her grandchildren, Denver W. Alvis, Sr. (fiancé Megan), Lucas E. Dame (Heather) Corinne D. Lowman (Zach); her great grandchildren, Levi & Caleb Lowman, Devin Dame, Denver W. Alvis, Jr.; a brother, Richard C. Hawkins (Angie); her sisters-in-law. Joyce Hawkins, Brenda Hawkins as well as many nieces & nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charity.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford. Interment will be private in the Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan.
