Linda Mae Grimes Williams

Linda Mae Grimes Williams, 73, of New Castle passed away at her residence after her battle with fibrosis of the lungs and pulmonary hypertension on October 29, 2023.

A native of Leesburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Harvey Nelson Grimes and Mary Mae Farmer Grimes, who survives. She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA class of 1968. Linda was a member of CommUNITY church in Salem. She enjoyed watching sun rises and sunsets, going on cruises, girls road trips, dancing, music, watching birds at bird feeders, camping, cooking, and crafts.

In addition to her mother those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years, Larry Clinton Williams; her son, Michael Church, bonus daughter, Lisa McGraw; special relatives, Frances Reynard, Evelyn Gant, Dolly Hagenbuch, and lots of cousins; special friends, Dena Wright, Mary Faulk, Phyllis Morris Belcher, Eli Berstein, Jamie Stanfield, and classmates from Stonewall Jackson High School; and two brothers in law, Danny Williams and Randy Williams.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
