Lisa Hawkins Hunt

Lisa H. Hunt, 64, of Troutville, went to be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Duane Hunt; daughters, Emily Hamren (Nels) and Katie Cole (Michael); grandchildren, Lucy Switzer, Ava Switzer, Wyatt Switzer, and Remy Cole; brother, David Hawkins; sister, Judy McDonald; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Lisa was a devout Christian and long-time member of Faith Alliance Church. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lisa spent the majority of her career caring for others as an RN, including traveling to many other countries on medical missions. The brief stint she spent as a flight attendant, she found particularly enjoyable. Over the course of her career, she developed deep lifelong friendships that brought her much joy.

Her love for her family and friends will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed, but carried in our hearts until we meet her again.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Faith Alliance Church, 7505 Barrens Road, Roanoke, VA 24019. The service will be officiated by Pastor David Fraser.
