Lois Jean Gailey

Lois “Jean” Gailey, age 73 of Roanoke, VA passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was born on April 26, 1952, to the late Herbert and Aleen Sisk. She grew up in Austinville, VA and graduated from Fort Chiswell High Schol class of 1970. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Harry Gailey; her son Chris (Lynne) Linkous; her grandchildren Sophia, Ava and Jonah Linkous; her siblings, Joyce (Lonnie) Montgomery, Bill (Carol) Sisk, and Cindy (Donnie) Crockett; special family members Adam and Jacob Gailey. Along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother Michael Sisk and nephew Lane Largen. Lois “Jean” loved others unconditionally. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren who she loved so dearly. She had a fondness for rain, thunderstorms and rainbows; finding a “good deal” while thrifting; creating with arts/crafts; getaways with her sisters; gardening; monthly dinners with lifelong friends; and sitting on her deck enjoying nature. Her gentle and kind spirit will be missed by all that knew and loved her. A private family gathering will be held in her honor.
