Lois Jean Hedrick Harper Brooks

Lois Jean Hedrick Harper Brooks, 86 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025.

She was born on September 29, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, daughter of the late Edgar C. Hedrick and the late Myrtle S. Hedrick.

Lois was a member of the Salvation Army Church and was retired from General Electric. In her spare time she enjoyed reading scripture and bird watching.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow Wilson Brooks as well as seven siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert D. Harper, Jr.; a brother, Norman Hedrick and wife Patsy and Jeri H. Dowdy and husband Wayne.

Services will be private.
