Lonnie Wiles Jordan

Lonnie Wiles Jordan, 85, passed away into her heavenly home on August 19, 2023. She was born in Caswell County, NC on September 30, 1937 to the late Mary Catherine Hamlett Wiles and the late Charlie J. Wiles. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Mr. James Wilson Jordan.

Mrs. Jordan, worked for many years before her retirement as a customer representative for CIT Inc.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter; Nancy Jordan Burch of Keeling, VA; one son; James Randall Jordan of Danville, VA; three grandchildren; Christopher Ryan Burch (Meagan), Stephanie B. Lucia (Jeremy), and Shannon B. Staton (Scott); seven great-grandchildren; Gavin Burch, Skylar Lucia, Zoe Lucia, Kaydence Jones, Amanda Carpio (Humbel), Kyle Staton, and Kaylee Staton; and two great-great grandchildren; Alexander Carpio and Demi Carpio.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers; Charlie J. Wiles Jr., Clarence L. Wiles, Willie T. Wiles, and Jack Wiles; and four sisters; Mary W. Lewis, Mable W. Williams, Thelma W. Dunevant, and Hazel Wiles.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd at 5:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Ms. Bettie Lea Vernon officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day, also at the Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel from 4-5:00pm. At other times the family will be receiving friends at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Nancy Burch.
