Lorene Bagby Cox

Lorene B. Tribble Cox, 89, of Rustburg passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Hassie Bagby.

In addition to her parents Lorene was preceded in passing by her husband Horace Cox; her first husband Pete Tribble; daughter-in-law Lisa Tribble; and her siblings Charlie Bagby, Floyd Bagby, Melvin Bagby, Ruth Carwile, and Rachel Talley.

Those left to cherish Lorene’s memory include her son Ralph Edward Tribble; stepdaughters Gwen Coffey, Teresa David; and more extended family, nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11am at New Chapel Baptist Church in Rustburg, officiated by Pastor Tim Dooley.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Tate Springs Health and Rehab, and all of the nurses with Nayar Hospice who cared for Lorene.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Lorene’s name to New Chapel Baptist Church or the Rustburg Fire Department.
