Lorraine Marie Parks

Lorraine Marie Parks, 97, of Collinsville, passed away Monday, June 24th, at her residence. She was born March 2, 1927 in New York to Henry Faussette and Helen Esther Schneider Faussette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woodrow Parks, her daughter Deborah Parks and her brother, Richard Faussette.

Lorraine was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved her family and loved to travel, especially to the beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Johnson (John), son, William C. Parks, Sr. (Mary), grandchildren, William C. Parks, Jr., Amy Johnson and Christopher Johnson (Holly); great-grandchildren, Kailynn Parks, Adam Johnson (Haley) and Nathan Johnson; special caregiver, Peggy Richards.

The funeral service will be held Friday, June 28th at 1:00 PM at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ryan Ware officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be, William C. Parks, Jr., Kailynn Parks, Adam Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Christopher Johnson, and Ricky Stone, a long-time family friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smith Memorial United Methodist Church, 2703 Daniels Creek Rd., Collinsville, VA 24078.
