Lucille Thompson

Lucille Mayhew Thompson, 96, of Vinton, passed away on April 30,2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Myrtle Mayhew; husband, Dr. H.R. “Preacher” Thompson; daughter, Barbara Faye Thompson; daughter in-law Wanda Thompson; 2 brothers and 5 sisters.She is survived by her son, Ronnie Thompson (Judy); Daughters, Belinda Gail Lamberth (Larry), Sandra Hammed (Daniel); 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a special friend Don.The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday May 3, 2025 with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Bible Church, 2500 Washington Ave, Vinton, VA. With pastors Jay Richards and Jeff Dalton will be officiating. Pastor David Watts will be officiating the graveside service. The burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
