Lucye Lee Stacy
Lucye Lee Harman Stacy, 48, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Sovah Health Martinsville, surrounded by the love of her family.
Lucye was born to the late Adelle Foley Harman and Donald Edward Harman. She was a woman of remarkable compassion, unwavering strength, and a heart dedicated to serving others. Whether caring for those in need, spending time with her family, or enjoying the simple pleasures of life, Lucye lived with kindness, generosity, and an infectious spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
She proudly served her community as an EMT with the Bassett Rescue Squad and as a firefighter with the Patrick Henry Volunteer Fire Department. Her commitment to helping others reflected the selfless person she was. Outside of her service, Lucye found great joy in life's simple blessings. She loved horses, crafting, farming, and spending time at the beach. Above all, she adored her beloved furbabies, especially Chloe Lee and Lulu, who brought her endless happiness and companionship.
In addition to her parents, Lucye was preceded in death by her sister, Yolande Kelly "Hootie" Foley; her stepmother, Lisa Kaye Harman; her grandmothers, Lucy Esther Isley and Christine Walker "Betty" Willis; her grandfathers, Lewis Thomas Isley and Harvey Perry Willis; her uncles, Charles Campbell, Pete Willis, Billy Roberson, Bobby Roberson, and James Roberson; and her aunts, Crystal Coleman, Frances White, and Linda Harris.
Those left to cherish her precious memory include her devoted and loving husband, Randal “R.J.” Stacy; her beloved daughters, Olivia Barbour (Brandon) and Katlyn Barbour (William); her grandchildren, Hayden Michael Deal, Avery Dawn Deal, and Kolten McKinley; her brothers, Donald “Bubby” Harman, Jr. and Jeff Foley; her aunts, Rosie Tipold, Betty Stump, Patty Turner (Mack), Marilyn Hall (John), Anita Eanes (Tim), and Teresa Kirby (Nick); Special nieces and nephews, Brandon Tyler Kirby, Kascidee Lea Aherron, Daniel Chad Aherron Jr., Alexander Estes and Jessica Brown; special friend, Jessica Dawn Sparks; her former husband Joesph Michael Barbour; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
Her memory will forever be treasured, and the countless lives she touched will stand as a testament to a life beautifully lived.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Bassett Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with a visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Frazier Family Cemetery.
