Lula Finney

Lula Finney, 69, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 8, 1953, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Jack Finney and James Ella Reid Finney. Lula joined St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church as a child. She currently attended Mt. Olive Holiness Church with Rev. James Morrison Pastor. She was a 1971 graduate of G. W. Carver. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Finney, James Edward Reid, and Elmore Jackson Finney. She is survived by her son, Arthur Finney (Crystal); sisters, Lillian Wade, Mary Frances Stockton (Jan), and Janice Hairston (Curtis); brothers, Rev. Johnny Finney, and Glenn Clemmons; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Mt. Olive East Christian Church, 3611 Spencer Preston Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
