Lynn Dodd

Lynn Frances Hyler Dodd, age 65, of 740 Verge Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at her residence.

She was born September 12, 1958 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Len Frances Hyler and Judith Marion Teaford Hyler. She was a care giver for the Alleghany Highlands Community Service Board. She loved to read and play games, especially BINGO.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Max Humphreys, Sr.; her second husband, Leslie Blair Dodd; a daughter, Emily Humphreys; and two sisters, Martha Rutter and Judith “Penny” Hyler.

She is survived by a daughter, April Humphreys of Clifton Forge; two sons, Max Humphreys, Jr. of Covington and Shawn Humphreys of Eagle Rock; her companion, McKinley Peters of Clifton Forge; a sister, Kathryn Loan and husband Thomas of Selma; two brothers, Dwayne Hyler and wife, Bonnie and Gerald Hyler and wife Theresa all of Clifton Forge; twelve grandchildren, Destiny Rocha, Haley Rocha, Rachel Rocha, Dakota Rocha, Nicholas Humphreys, Hunter Humphreys, Jonkel Humphreys, Shaheem Humphreys, Abigail Humphrey, Emily Humphreys, Mikayla Martin, Cashton Martin; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Dustin Hyler.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home of Clifton Forge.
