Malcolm Owen Vosburg

Malcolm Owen Vosburg, Sr., 91 of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024.He was born in Herndon on October 26, 1932, son of the late Harry M. Vosburg, Sr. and the late Eva P. Vosburg. Malcolm retired from Flowserve after 54 years and had proudly served his county in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Naola, and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as working in his garden.He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Alan Vosburg; a grandson, Justin R. Baumgardner; a brother, Harry M. Vosburg, Jr. and a sister, Francis V. Schubert.Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Janice M. Vosburg; his four children, Malcolm O. Vosburgh, Jr., Annmarie F. Cash and husband Dan, Lisa Vosburgh Mays and husband Fred, and Eva Marie Vosburg; three step-children, Rachel Ramsey, Lamont Edwards, III and wife Lisa and Jonathan Edwards; eight grandchildren, SMSgt Zachary M. Baumgardner and wife Cecilia, Chloe Cash, Elijah O. Pennington, Justin Edwards, Aaron Beverly, Autumn Beverly, Charity Beverly, and Lila Edwards. He is also survived by two great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 pm on Tuesday August 27, 2024 at Whitten Monelison Chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Peyton Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Allwood Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #16.
