Marcella Robertson Hodges

Mrs. Marcella Robertson Hodges of Rocky Mount, VA passed away on Friday, May 03, 2024, at the age 73. She was born to the late Charlie W. and Grace Robertson on July 20, 1950. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Donald P. Ledbetter Jr.; brothers, Bookie Robertson (Phyllis), Sherman (Sue) Robertson; sisters, Shirley Ellis, Joyce Rush; Patricia Hodges; nephews, Donnie Robertson, Stacey Hodges and Lonnie Robertson.Those left to cherish her beautiful memory are her faithful, devoted and loving husband, Allen Hodges. Grandchildren; Harley (Cassie- like a daughter) Ledbetter, Dylan Ledbetter. Christi, Will Maddy, & Marie; Stepchildren, Sonny Hodges, Jody Hodges & Lisa Hall. step- grandchildren & step-great-grandchildren; Brother-In-Law, George Hodges. Also surviving brother, Kirk Robertson (Carol); sisters, Louise Ellis, Rachel Pruitt, Diann Mitchell (Wayne), Brenda Robertson (Bobby) numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marcella was a loving wife, grandmother, sister, aunt & a friend to everyone. She never met a stranger. She was a hard worker with a strong Faith in God. She was the glue that kept the family together. Marcella is going to be missed by many but her work on earth is done. She is now rejoicing with her son Don.Funeral services will conducted 2 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday.
