Marilyn Ann Truman

Marilyn Ann Truman, 61, of Ferrum, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1963, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Cabel Fulcher and Selma Sink Fulcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lynwood Mark Truman; one brother, Mike Fulcher; and two sisters, Carolyn Underwood and Betty Young.

Marilyn was a faithful member of Fairway Baptist Church. She cherished time spent with her family, but her grandchildren held a uniquely special place in her heart. Known lovingly as the ultimate grandmother, she poured love, wisdom, and joy into the lives of each one.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Ashley Hale (Michael) and Tabatha Truman (John Thurman); five grandchildren, Sophia Truman, Jasper Hale, Hudson Thurman, Carter Hale, and Logan Thurman; one sister, Virginia Setliff (Dwight); sister-in-law, Carol Helms; two brothers-in-law, Donald Truman and Timmy Truman; as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Sink Family Cemetery.
