Mark Allan Taylor

Mark Allan Taylor, 51, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on April 2, 1975, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Mark Anthony Taylor and Donna Massey Anderson.

Mark worked as an auto mechanic. He had a passion for automobiles and enjoyed working on both full-size and model cars. He was also a gun collector and enjoyed watching various television programs. Some of his favorite pastimes were riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and four-wheelers. Most of all, Mark loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his son, Tyler Joe Shivley; his sister, Jennifer Marie Morris; his brother, James Warren Morris; his best friend, Billy Hudson; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service – Bassett Chapel. Burial will be private.
