After retiring from the military he made his home in Clifton Forge where he enjoyed meeting and cooking for the community at the Bull Pen and Cat & Owl restaurants. Mark was affectionately known as the “mouth of the south” growing up, and the people of Clifton Forge quickly understood why. He very enthusiastically loved sharing his opinions, was very well read and could weigh in on just about any topic.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge on a date to be announced.
