Mark Wesley Eanes

Mark Wesley Eanes, 63, of Bassett, VA, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, peacefully in his sleep to join his two sons, Hank W. Eanes and Henry D. Eanes who preceded him in death.

He was born on August 23, 1960, to Douglas M. Eanes and Margie Bouldin Wilson. In addition to his two sons, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Phala W. Eanes.

He was the owner of M.W. Eanes Trucking.

Mark is survived by his wife, Darlene P. Eanes; daughter, Heather R. Layman; three sons, Alan Cassell, Scottie Cassell, James Minter; a brother, Marshall Eanes(Teresa); stepfather, James Wilson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Dave Cuthberson and Derek Layman officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service for one hour.
