Martha "Carter" Kate Minix

Mrs. Martha Kate Carter Minix, 39 of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Minix was born on August 16, 1983, in Forsyth County to Dwayne M. and Karen Brintle Carter. Martha was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who loved her Lord and Savior, her family, her friends, and especially her daughter, Clara. Mrs. Minix enjoyed cooking and baking for her family; and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Kevin Minix, a daughter, Clara Kate Minix; her parents, Dwayne M. and Karen Brintle Carter, a sister, Elizabeth Carter Vernon; two nieces, Emma Vernon, Salem Carter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randall and Patricia Minix; and sister-in-law, Julie Furniss and husband Brett. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church in Mount Airy from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Haymore Memorial Baptist Church Youth, P.O. Box 27, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
