Martha Geneva Horne Williamson

April 2, 1939 - April 1, 2023

Martha Geneva Horne Williamson, also known as Geneva and Diah, left us one day before her 84th birthday. Her last ten years, she struggled with dementia but had many happy years before that. She had several jobs throughout her life, her favorite being gardening at Crowell’s Flower Nursery. She retired from and also enjoyed working at ITT Night Vision. Martha was very creative and mastered many crafts. She was particularly talented at painting still-life’s and landscapes. She enjoyed reading the Bible and was a member of Shepherds Chapel.Martha was preceded in death by parents, Woodrow and Myrtle Arthur Horne; sisters: Shelby Huffman and Connie Brogan; and brother, Terry Horne. Surviving are her husband, Marvin Eugen Williamson; daughters: Pamela Williamson, Rita Wright, and Sheree Bishop and her husband Alan; grandchildren: Tony Wright and his wife Summer, and Ashley Bishop; great-grandchildren: Autumn and Winter Wright; sister, Bonnie Weeks; and brother, Gary Horne; numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She also leaves behind her much loved dog, “Pretty Girl”. A graveside service honoring Martha's life will be 2:30pm Saturday, April 8 at Mill Creek Cemetery, 11475 Lee Highway Fincastle with Evangelist Dr. Joann Menefee officiating.
