Martha Gibson Yopp

Martha Jane Gibson Yopp, age 81 of Boones Mill was called to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 surrounded by family. She was a Godly lady that loved her family unconditionally. She loved the outdoors especially tending to her rose bushes. She will be missed by all.
She was born on February 23, 1941 a daughter of the late Buster and Edith Farris Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Yopp; her son, Steve “Punk” Yopp; two grandsons, Jay Hicks and Joey Hicks; brothers, Robert, John, and Joe Gibson; sister, Geneva Chittum; son-in-law, Richard Hicks; sister-in-law, Gail Gibson; brother-in-law, Donnie Cooper.
She is survived by her children, Rickie Yopp (Donna), Debbie Brown (Perry), Pam Hicks, and Teddy Yopp (Suzanne); daughter-in-law, Kathy Yopp; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Arthur Gibson, Joyce McGuire (Larry), and Ella Cooper; sisters-in-law, Nellie Gibson and Peggy Gibson; brother-in-law, Doug Chittum. She is also survived by other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, 24, 2022 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Yopp Family Cemetery in Callaway. Her family will receive friends Friday, September 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren.
