Martha Hayden Dillard

Martha Hayden Dillard, 76, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024. She was born in Danville, VA on January 10, 1948 to the late Mabel Vivian Gaulden Hayden and the late Joseph Edward Hayden.

Martha was of the Christian faith, and a long standing member of Arbor Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a registered nurse in ICU at Sovah Health Hospital in Danville, VA, Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA and Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC previous to her retirement.

Martha is survived by a son; Andrew Dillard of Florida; two daughters; Emily Dillard of Danville, VA and Amanda Pulley (Walter) of Sutherlin, VA; three sisters; Barbara Williams (Chris), Julia Jones (Bobby), and Becky Hayden; a brother; Joey Hayden; and ten grandchildren; Michael, Kinsley, Bob, Jimi, Ava, Ruby, Sam, Vivian, Bo, and Benny; and a close friend; Pat Powell.

In addition to her parents, Martha was predeceased by a Grandson; Jude; and Granddaughter; Madelyn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 11:00am at Arbor Baptist Church, 15120 River Road, Sutherlin, VA 24594 with pastor Larry Davis officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 6-7:30pm at Norris West End Chapel, 511 Church Avenue, Danville, VA 24541.
