Martha Jane Frye Ingram

Martha Jane Frye Ingram, 81, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1943, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Harvey Swanson and Margaret Turner Frye. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Drewry Wayne Ingram; grandson, Dustin Wallace; and son-in-law, Dr. Mark Mason, D.D.S.

Martha was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, friend, and more. She worked in the medical records department at Sovah Health in Martinsville for 18 years. She was a Baptist faith and often attended churches local to her home. She loved her family immensely, but coming in (a very close) second place was her love of cats. Martha devoted a special piece of her heart to rescuing, caring for, and providing loving homes for numerous cats. Her love for them is a true testament of her willingness to give and compassionate character.

Martha leaves behind the following family members to cherish her memory, her daughter, Amy Mason; son, Richard Wayne Ingram (Denise); grandchildren, Michael Mason (Amber), Matthew Mason, Autumn Jackson (Jamie), and Jodie Ingram (Brandon Lewis); great-grandchildren, Erika Helton, Jaydon Lewis, Karidee Lewis, Daylon Lewis, Colton Lewis, and Cooper Jackson; and special friends, Louise Boley and Maureen Roudabush.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville. A service for Martha will follow with Pastor Joe Collins officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you make donations to the SPCA in Martha’s honor.
