Mary Elizabeth Lowe Pruitt

Mary Elizabeth Lowe Pruitt, 78, of Ringgold, Virginia, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Woltz Hospice in Dodson, North Carolina. She was born March 10, 1945, in Danville, Virginia, to the late James William Lowe and Dora Elliott Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William David Pruitt; son, Howard Lee Jones, Jr.; sister, Ann Gentry; and brother, Charles Bowman.

She had been employed by Dan River Mills for over 35 years, and attended Church of Outreach Ministries. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, the mountains, and going to church. She loved to cook, and made great yeast rolls and cookies.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Terry Marie Jones; sister, Linda Saunders (Ronald); brother, Ronald Bowman; grandson, Chad Jones; granddaughter, Brandi Jones, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
