Mary Frances Howell Hill

Mrs. Mary Frances Howell Hill “Sweetbug”, age 51 of Stuart, Virginia went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on June 23, 1973, to the late Leonard William Howell and Mabel Ann Inman Howell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Randall Wade Howell. Mary was an avid gardener and hunter; she enjoyed working on the farm. Her family was the joy of her life, she truly loved being a wife, mom, sister, aunt, and especially loved being a Nana to her little “Monkey” Harper.

Left to cherish the memories of Mary are her devoted husband of 29 years, Stanley T. Hill of the home; two children, Christy Marie Holder (Dakota) of Dobson, NC and Clyde Stanley Hill (Marie) of Stuart; one granddaughter, Harper Marie Holder; one step-grandson, John Bailey Wright; four siblings, Anne Quesenberry (Billy) of Stuart, Sally Manley (Greg) of King, NC, Thomas Howell (Dixie) of Patrick Springs, and Amy Clark (Dewitt) of Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Linda Chapman, several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Marley.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hill will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Dewayne Troutt and Tommy Nichols officiating. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
