Mary H. Perkins

Mary Helen Perkins, 92, of Lafayette, Va., passed away peacefully at her home on March 8, 2023.  Mary was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, best friend, babysitter and all around Supermom.  She was always there when anyone needed her. 

Mary was the last family member of 3 brothers and 1 sister of Roy and Flora Mullen.  Preceded in death, her husband, Andy E, Perkins; son, Sammy and daughter-in-law, Robin; son-in-law, Wayne Sandidge; and a great grandson, Gary Bierman,

She is survived by a son, Ronnie (Linda), and daughter, Janet.  Grandma to 4 grandkids, Kevin, Sam T, (Olivia), Matthew and Raven.  Maw Maw to 6 great grandkids and their siblings, Jacob (Chase and Kalie), Sammy (Corey and Lyric), Sydney and Dokoda, Tallyn and June (Shannon, Allison, Tess and Lucas), also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Special thanks to those that helped with Mary’s care, daughter-in-law, Linda; granddaughter, Sarah and special friend, Sue.  Also, to Rebekah (who we adopted) and nurse Amy of Carilion Clinic Hospice –NRV.

Mary’s final wishes were to be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
