Mary Kay Schmidt

Mary Kay Schmidt, 75, of Blue Ridge, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Dan Schmidt; sister, Katherine Berkeley; brother, John Harless; nephews, Michael Berkeley (Stephanie) and John D. Harless; grand nephew, Michael Austin Berkeley; and grand niece, Isabella Berkeley.

Mary was an avid gardener and animal lover. She had a strong appreciation and knowledge of music. Her loving positive spirit will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lewis Gale Medical Center; and additionally, the family would like to thank her special friends, Vicki Duffy, Robert and Lynn Furrow, Craig and Jennilea DeLong, Ron and Tricia Driskill, and Sharon and Sam Stiltner.

Per her wishes there will be no services at this time. But, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
