Mary Lou Begliutti Abbott

Mary Lou Begliutti Abbott, 101, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on April 15, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1924, in Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso Begliutti and Katie Cuel Begliutti; and her siblings, sisters Rosalie and Francis, and brothers William, Joe, Steve, Alfonso Jr., and John.

Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Randy Abbott, Jim Abbott, Tom Abbott, and Joe Abbott.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Liz, Chuck, Mike, Rebecca, Beverly, and Chris; her great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Sam, Maleah, Landon, Emerson, Addison, Elan, Aiyana, and Lexi; and one great-great-grandchild, recently welcomed by Jeremy.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia.
